Napleton's Oak Lawn Mazda Testimonials A sincere THANK YOU to all our favorite customers!
I recently purchased a car from this dealership and was disappointed with the experience. I was given a key fob that had tape on the back and turned out to be completely dysfunctional. It ended up locking the keys inside the car, and I had to pay $129 for a locksmith to get back in. This could have easily been avoided if the dealership had provided a properly functioning key fob from the start. I’ve reached out to request reimbursement and a replacement key fob, and I hope they make it right, but this isn’t the type of issue I expected after buying a car from a professional dealership.
I have to admit I truly enjoyed the buying process of purchasing my latest vehicle for my family. The sales person was very nice, and so was most of the staff. I only have two qualms with the experience. Firstly, the finance manager who I met with to pay for my vehicle, unfortunately lacked any soft skills. He was not personable at all and in fact, was very cold. Moreover, although I feel I made a connection with my salesman, I’m truly disappointed that although he offered for me to call him if I had any questions or concerns after the purchase , he has not returned my call regarding a question I had about my new car. It’s concerning that there was succinct communication up to the point of sale, but then no communication after the sale completed. If it wasn’t for those negative experiences, it would’ve been an easy five star review.
I was nervous about shopping here after dealing with high pressure sales tactics that had me just walk about of Napelton Honda, but my experience here yesterday was amazing! This place is run completely different. From front desk to sales to finance- all three of these guys were all around were just fantastic. The salesman Issac did not try to upsell me out of my budget at ALL made the day pretty fun! I am absolutely in love with the Mazda CX-5 I bought, and the price I paid.
Overall a seamless experience. Sales team was easy to work with. Did not pressure or waste time.
I bought my Mazda from this location a few years back. I made an appointment for a recall and to have an appraisal done. When I came to pick up my car today, I was told "The guy who did your appraisal does not want your car". That guy is Scott Ognar. I asked to speak with him, and without even saying hello, Scott came out of his office and said "Listen I don't want your car." I said" Scott, I asked how much my car is worth not if you want it." I also reminded him that my car was bought from this location in case he might not have known that and that was the reasoning for his rude and unprofessional behavior. Scott told me to go use Kelly Blue Books online. I asked him if this is how he represents Mazda and if he thinks his response to me is appropriate. Scott then said like "Like I said, I don't want your car so I am not doing business with you." To top that off, they left my lights on after performing the recall and left my car with 0 miles left of gas "because they needed to replace the fuel pump for the recall." I called corporate and they refunded me the $150 I paid to have an "exam" done. The corporate representative said this location has complaints all the time. PLEASE STAY SAFE, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME, AND DO NOT GO TO OAK LAWN MAZDA. You'll see me on a moped before you see me in a Mazda again.
Great dealership and Issak Erkapic our salesman was wonderful very helpful with getting my wife her CX9.
Pleasantly surprised, not a lot of stress.David was nice to deal with.Ok dealership.
We were told the car was on the lot but it wasn’t. We had all our paperwork done and waited forever. Our salesman was fabulous thr the place seems poorly managed
I am writing this to make people aware of some things before they deal with these people. I love my Mazda CX-5 but there were some things that went down at this dealership that I consider to be less than honest. Now, with that said, It is totally my fault that I fell for them. I was tired that day to begin with and went in after work but I was unaware of the tactics used at dealerships and now I have learned and am smarter for it. They will try to wear you down. You will be there for 5+ hours. Exhausting back and forth with what I now know to be typical stall tactics to wear you down. The real issue is when you are sent off to the finance manager. I agreed to a totally BS maintenance package that I had no business signing up for. Again, my fault. I can still see the excitement on the manager's face when I agreed to add that to my bill. I didn't take the big package but I did take one that made absolutely no sense and was not a good deal. Just be prepared and don't give in. The end result for them is that I won't be back to buy my next Mazda. I am going to be purchasing another CX-5, actually a model up from the one I currently own but I will not be a returning customer. Congrats on that sale and earning your dealership a couple extra grand but a different dealership will be getting my business on this next one.
Thank you Michael Christopher for the great experience at Oak Lawn Mazda. Michael was professional and attentive, and helped me purchase my new vehicle today! Thank you!!
I was charged for a plate transfer, and title fee and they collected the money but never paid for them. I went to renew my plates and they were still registered under my old car. Luckily I was never pulled over or the car and plates would not have matched. I had to pay an additional fee out of pocket to get me title transferred since they collected the money and never paid for either. Almost 500 paid to them originally and an additional 160 paid later to the state by me out of pocket. I have called and sent emails with no reply and there has to be someone who cares this dealership is collecting money for the state and not paying it, instead pocketing it! This would all be fine if they would respond and give me back the money I paid them for something they never did and I have to pay for a second time on my own.
Worst place ever. Dooo not shop with these people when I’m done with them they will feel it. I purchase two Mazda’s from this dealership and the customer service is horrible here. Do not deal with these people go to any other Mazda dealership this is the worst place ever. I’m calling about paper work about my vehicle. The customer service rep name John in the sales department disrespected me there very ignorant and can’t take ignorance. Now they won’t answer the phone about paper work regarding a vehicle I purchased from them. I will be contacting Corperate and sharing this review on every website I can think of. That’s why I drive a Beamer now do not deal with these crooks!
I was not at all happy with my experience at this dealership. My sales associate was pushy and rude. I felt like I was being scammed as everything we discussed was different when it came time to sign the finance paperwork. And, as a final middle finger to me, the car I purchased had very little gas in it and was not cleaned in the inside. I have purchased quite a few used cars in my life and this was by far the worst experience. I have complete buyers remorse. Not over the car, but that I put money in the pockets of these people. Be careful if you buy from them.
I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews. I don't recommend them them to anyone because of the poor service and bait and switch tactics. I visited the showroom and had a fine experience, but it all went downhill after that when I was serious and ready to buy. I was negotiating over phone with my sales rep for a brand new car only to be brushed off by a manager named Andy who insinuated I wasn't a "serious" buyer, even though I was prepared to put a deposit down that day. He insisted I come back into the showroom, which I did one business day later. When the new rep MJ gave me the pricing sheet with financing options, it included a higher interest rate than I was initially quoted and even discussed 3 minutes prior, included services that I never discussed with them or wanted included, and most appalling the actual car price was well over $1k more than what we had already agreed on. Bottom line: they use bait and switch tactics, used the interest rate and other services as negotiation tactics against me, and didn't even acknowledge any of it. I'm so glad I didn't buy from them.
Very professional team, great and friendly staff, no pushy sales, bought two cars in one week from this dealership. Shelby was very good sales girl!
